As we go to our first bit of water we all got our feet soaked screeches could be heard, our feet were drenched and cold.
We were not prepared for this. The freezing water filled our shoes and took us by surprise. With each step along the
dry grass a  squeak could be heard. Slowly but surely we approached the next destination, it was our first water hole.
There was a beautiful view of fossils and small green forest.

Chatter was bursting through the trees, until the instructor told us to take a break so we could admire the view There
was a small river and stones replacing the stones. Rocks the size of footrests scattered unevenly throughout the area.
Food was eaten and photos were taken, we were loving the warmth of the sunlight and the comfort of friends.

The final destination was the much bigger waterhole but to get there we had to walk through waist to knee high deep
water, it sure was a worth it though. The massive rocks and the natural diving boards looked amazing. The water was
beautiful, we all ran and ran through the crystal blue until we reach the ultimate swimming spot, it was absolutely
stunning! The grey rocks complemented the crystalized blue lake. Kids were jumping, diving and swimming,
we had so much fun it made the long walk worth it!

Self Reflection:
One of my writing goals is: organise related ideas into paragraphs
I did achieve this goal because: I used paragraphs and made sure they were related

One of my writing goals is: Support main ideas with carefully chosen details and or
comments

I did achieve this goal because: I kept mentioning the river walk

My next step: is to make it sound more like a descriptive piece of writing

Teacher Comment: Helena, you have used a variety of sentence lengths for impact.
I like the way you've used adjectives and language features like onomatopoeia
to create interest for the reader. Your next step is to make sure you use the correct text type for your task.
For example this was a moment in time.
